JOHN HENRY LEADING SCOT WITH A 70 IN AUSTRIA



John Henry, with a two-under-par 70, was the leading Scot at the end of the first round of the Alps Tour event, the Gosser Open at Johann Erzherzog Golf Club, Austria today (Friday).
The Clydebank and District man starts the second round in joint 29th place, five shots behind three joint leaders, Filippo Bergamaschi (Italy), Jesus Legarra (Spain) and Mattio Miloro (Italy).
Fraserburgh's Kris Nicol (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) is sharing 65th place despite matching the par of 72.
Michael Stewart from Troon had a 74 and Ellon's Ross Cameron (Saltire Energy) a 78.
