DAVID LAW ONLY SCOT TO BEAT EGYPT CUT
David Law, improving from joint 49th to a share of 18th place with a three-under-par second round of 69, was the only Scot to survive the 36-hole cut in the German PGA Developmental Tour's Red Sea Sokhna Open at Sokhna Golf Club, Egypt today (Wed) The Aberdonian's tally of level par 144 sees him start the final round 12 shots behind leader Antoine Schwartz (France) who has had a pair of 66s for 12-under 132 and a seven-shot lead over his nearest rivals. Peterhead's Philip McLean, a Paul Lawrie Golf Centre stablemate of Law's, missed the cut by five shots with a 78 for 153. A third PLGC player, Jordan Findlay from Fraserburgh, and David James from Dumfries missed out on the 155 mark. Findlay had a second-round 76 and James a 75. RED SEA SOKHNA OPEN Sokhna GC, Egypt.
