McKENNA versus SCOTT IN SOUTH AFRICAN QUARTER-FINAL
Balmore's Fraser McKenna and Ewan Scott (St Andrews) are through to the last eight of the South African men's amateur match-play golf championship ... and, as luck would have it, they play each other for a place in the semi-finals at Johannesburg Country Club.McKenna was in excellent form and did not have to play the last four holes in his second and third-round wins.He beat South African Jade Buitendag 5 and 4, then chalked up a 6 and 5 win over Jason Viljoen who had KO'd Cawder's Jamie Savage by 2 and 1 in the morning round.Scottish youths champion Scott won by one hole over Hennie Du Plessis and then won at the 20th in a thriller of a tie against Teagan Moore.Graeme Robertson (Glenbervie) lost a marathon second-round tie at the 26th against Gerlou Roux.
