RUSSELL KNOX MAKES THIRD CUT IN A ROW ON US PGA TOUR

Mark the calendar! Russell Knox has made three cuts in a row on the US PGA Tour. The Inverness exile has scored eight points so far in the modified Stableford points system being used in the Reno-Tahoe Open at Montreux County Club, Reno, Nevada.
That puts him well down the field in T55 place - but at least he is playing in the weekend action and that has not happened too often for Knox this season.
Seven points of a running total was required to survive the cut.
Gary Christian (England) and Ireland's Padraig Harrington also made it through in this tournament, bereft of all the world stars who are playing in the WGC event at Firestone. Christian has scored 16pt and Harrington 14.
Alexandre Rocha from Brazil leads the way with 24pt (eight in round one, 16 in round two).
