DAVID ORR PRO RECORD (63) AT ABOYNE

David Orr (Mearns Castle) set a new professional course recored of five-under-par 63 at Aboyne today in winning the top prize of £966 at the VSA Tartan pro-am.
The amateur course record of 62 is held by Colin Forbes.
Orr had a bogey-free round studded with birdies at the sixth, long seventh, ninth, long 10th and 15th.
He won by a single shot from joint runners-up David Patrick (Elie Sports Centre) and Graham Fox (Rowallan Castle) who each earned £676.
Patrick had birdies at the fifth, seventh, eighth, 13th and 17th but one bogey, at the first.
Fox had birdies at the third, fifth, eighth, l0th and 12th but he too had that one costly bogey, at the ninth.
Christopher Currie (Caldwell) led the Munro's 2 team to victory in the pro-am with a net total of 17-under-par 119. The amateur members were Ian Massie (handicap 16), Stuart Clow (15) and Steven Scott (14).
