TIGHT AT TOP IN PETROFAC MONTROSE PRO-AM

For the second day in a row, three players tied for the top spot in the Tartan Tour event, the Petrofac Montrose Golf Links pro-am.
James McKinnon (Irvine), David Patrick (Elie Sports Centre) and Hayston's Stephen Gray all returned four-under-par 67s and won £952 each.
They finished a shot ahead of the local man, Graeme Brown (Montrose Golf Links). His 68 earned him £535.
Greig Hutcheon (Banchory) and Scott Henderson (Kings Links) had a joint off day. Normally nearer the top than the bottom of the scoreboard, they both recorded 75s today - well out of the money.
Jamie Wales (Kings Acre Golf Centre) led the Montrose Mercantile Ladies Golf Club team of Teresa Dye (handicap 21), Doreen Gordon (18) and Edna Wallwork (14) to victoy in the team event with a net score of 13-under-par 129. They won by two shots.
