THREE TIE FOR VICTORY IN EAST OF SCOTLAND SENIOR OPEN

There was a triple tie for first place in the Scottish Senior Golfing Society's East of Scotland Open at Forfar Golf Club.
Graham Bell (Downfield) 68-71, Fraser McCluskey (Royal Burgess) 67-72, and Len Grindrod (Cawder) 65-74 all finished on the 139 mark, one shot ahead of fourth placed Lindsay Gordon (Turnhouse) 68-72.
Former Walker Cup player Sandy Pirie (Hazlehead) and his son Neil competed in this competition, thought to be the first time a father and son have taken part in a SSGS event.
