BON ACCORD TRIO LEAD ABERDEEN LINKS FIRST QUALIFYING ROUND)

The Aberdeen Links Championship began on Saturday with the first qualifying round before the match -play stages. The top three places belonged to the Bon Accord club with 2010 champion Barrie Edmond leading with  a 4 under par score of 67, followed by clubmates Mark Grieg and Matty Grieg on 69.
Defending champion Barry Reid (Caledonian) began with a level par 71.
Leading scores from the Friday Seniors were Caley's Davie Mullen 68, followed by George Patterson (Northern) and Graeme Somers (Bon Accord) on 70.
Leading the way in Sunday's Murray Cup were Scott Barclay (Northern) 78 and Steve McKay (Caley) on 79.
The second qualifying rounds are this weekend
