ITS THE LATE SHOW AT STRATHAVEN PRO-AM

 It was the Late Show at Strathaven Golf Club today, courtesy of the last two pros to finish, Chris Kelly (Cawder) and Iain Colquhoun (Dundonald Links) in the club's annual pro-am.
Kelly came with a flourish after 7.30pm, shooting nine birdies in all for a five-under-par 66 which tied him with long-time clubhouse leader Mark Kerr from Edinburgh for first prize. They each earned £1,129.
Kerr had posted his 66 with the help of an eagle 3 at the long eighth and four birdies, at the long third, sixth, long 10th and 14th in halves of 32-34. He had one bogey, at the fifth.
Kelly had two halves of 33, birdieng the first, short fourth, fifth, long eighth, 10th, 13th, 14th, short 15th and 16th.
Three of Kelly's four bogeys came at short holes.
Graeme Brown (Montrose Links) finished third with a bogey-free 67 to collect £753.
Further down the list, Scott Henderson (Kings Links) had six birdies but four bogeys dragged him down to a 69
Another North-east man, Greig Hutcheon (Banchory) bogeyed five of his first nine holes but finished on one-under-par 70   
Iain Colquhoun, last man in just before 8pm, changed the leaderboard in the team event, piloting his Dundonald Links team of Willie Torrance (5), Alex Watson (8) and John Austin (14) to a net score of 16-under-par 55, pipping Graham Fox (Rowallan Castle) team of Alistair Bokla (8), Jim Preston (12) and Mark Preston (6) who had been clubhouse leaders on 15-under 56.
