PAUL McKECHNIE MAKES HAY WHILE SUN SHINES AT LOCHWINNOCH

Paul McKechnie won the individual pro top award of £908 with a three-under-par round of 68 in today's Lochwinnodh Golf Club pro-am on a lovely, sunny day in Renfrewshire. The Braid Hills Golf Range tour pro had birdies at the second, ninth, 12th, 13th and 16th with bogeys at the third and 10th in halves of 35 (two under) and 33 (one under). Joint runners-up on 70 were Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs Golf Range), winner of the event last year, and Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle). They each earned $635. Graham Fox (Rowallan Castle), who finished joint fourth on 71, led the Young, Wilson and Cunningham Team 5 to victory in the pro-am event with a net score17-under-par 54. His partners were Robert Hood (handicap 10), Alan Wright (7) and Stephen Mallon (18). They won by a shot from the team parnted by Edinburgh Golf Centre pro Craig Gordon.
