LAWRIE v LAIRD IN ROUND 3 -TIGER WOODS BEATEN BY NICK WATNEY

Paul Lawrie and Martin Laird, the only two Scots in the starting field of 64, are through to the last 16 of the Accenture World Match-play Championship at Dove Mountain, Tucson in Arizona.
Unfortunately, they now play each other for a place in the quarter-finals.
Lawrie followed up his win over Justin Rose by beating young Japanese star R Ishikawa by one hole.
Laird was a 2 and 1 winner against the brilliant young Italian, Matteo Manassero.
Tiger Woods, in the same bracket, lost by one hole to fellow American Nick Watney who plays Lee Westwood for a place in the last eight against the winner of the Laird v Lawrie tie.
