KEIR McNICOLL WINS TOM GALLOWAY TROPHY AT CRAIGIELAW

The good weather brought the largest field of the season when 108 players competed at Craigielaw for The Tom Galloway Trophy.
The Trophy, courtesy of a better inward half by half a shot went to assistant pro Keir McNicoll (Gullane) with 71 (37-34) beating the net 71 score of William Laing (Prestonfield) 78 (40-38) less 7.
Top scratch score was Allyn Dick (Kingsknowe) with a one under par 70 (34-36), 2nd Keir McNicoll (Gullane) 71 and 3rd Chris Morris (Kingsknowe) 72.
Top handicap prize went to William Laing (Prestonfield) 71 (78 less 7), 2nd shared three ways by Robert Denholm (Duddingston) 72 (76 less 4), Allyn Dick (Kingsknowe) 72 (70 plus 2) and Andrew McLennan (Deer Park) 72 (80 less 8).
Senior Prize honours were shared three ways by John Denham (Galashiels) 75 (81 less 6), David Jeffrey (Whitekirk) 75 (82 less 7) and Iain Stavert (Duddingston) 75 (78 less 3).
With two outings left before the annual championship at Gullane, the scratch and handicap Order of Merits are seeing leads reduce but the top two in each see the same names there.

5. Allyn Dick (Kingsknowe) - 100.0

Next outing is in two weeks at Dunbar.
