JAPANESE PLAYERS LEAD DUNLOP PHOENIX TOURNAMENT

MIYAZAKI, Japan (AP) - Japanese golfers Tetsuya Haraguchi and Hideto Tanihara both shot 5-under 66 today to share the first-round lead at the Dunlop Phoenix tournament.
Tomohiro Kondo was a stroke back at the par-71 Phoenix Country Club.
Ricky Barnes of the United States was in a group of eight golfers on 68. They included Brendan Jones of Australia, Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, winner of the Singapore Open play-off on Monday morning, and and S.K. Ho of South Korea.
Ryo Ishikawa of Japan is skipping the $2.5 million tournament to play in the Presidents Cup in Melbourne, Australia.
Asian amateur champion Hideki Matsuyama, who won last week's Taiheiyo Masters, shot a 74.
