MIDLAND ALLIANCE SCORES FROM THE DUKE'S, ST ANDREWS

This week the Midland Golfers’ Alliance held the SAS Ltd Team competition at The Duke's course in St. Andrews, Fife. Following on from his victory in the Scottish PGA, Alan Lockhart (AP, Ladybank) shot a 2 over par 73 to win again. Their was a 3 way tie for the handicap prize, Bruce Bell (Blairgowrie, 7), Gordon Mitchell (Blairgowrie, 5) and Jim Watt (Edzell, 2) all scoring net 72. Jim also helped his team of Sam Marshall (Downfield, 8) and Angus Thomson (Downfield, 7) to the team prize with a score of 64, better inward half.
