GLENCORSE'S SEAN McGARVEY WINS ALLIANCE AT DUDDINGSTON

Sunshine and blue sky resulted in 101 players competing for The M Allan Memorial Trophy at Duddingston with Sean McGarvey (Glencorse) claiming the trophy with a net 69 (69 less 0).
Three under par 69 turned out to be the best scratch score on the day. It was achieved by four players - Sean McGarvey (Glencorse) 36-33, Allyn Dick (Kingsknowe) 34-45, Gordon Law (Uphall) 34-35 and Stephen Lamb (Cardrona) 33-36.
Highlight of the 69s was Stephen Lamb's four-under front nine which included an albatross 2 at the par-5 fourth hole (holing out with a resue club from a distance).
Top handicap prize went to Sean McGarvey 69 (69 less 0). Second place was shared by Robert Denholm (Duddingston) 70 (74 less 4) and Gordon Eadie (Musselburgh) 70 (78 less 8).
Senior Prize went to William Smith (Harburn) with a net 74 (88 less 14).
Order of Merit after four events:

2 Sean McGarvey (Glencorse) 217.50 points
3 Scott Catlin (Greenburn) 216 points
Handicap
