CRAIG ARMSTRONG'S 68 WINS MIDLAND ALLIANCE SCRATCH PRIZE

Today's Midland Alliance meeting, sponsored by A Herd and held at Kirriemuir, saw the scratch prize won by Craig Armstrong, an assistant professional at Burntisland Golf House.
He had a level par 68 and won by two shots from Wellsgreen pro Donald McKay and amateurs Ross Bell (Downfield) and Rob Ford (Scotscraig).
The handicap competition was a close-run affair with four players returning net 67s.
The best team score was 58 returned by Alistair Duncan, Dennis Redford and John Gray.
