ALASTAIR WEBSTER WINS MIDLAND ALLIANCE AT BLAIRGOWRIE

Edzell club professional Alastair Webster won today's Midland Alliance competition over the Blairgowrie Lansdone course with a par round of 72. He had a shot to spare over runner-up and fellow pro, Jamie Stevenson (Barrhead).
The handicap prize was a five-way tie between Alan Reid (Monifieth) (2), Hugh Hunter (Alloa) (10), Jim Watt (Edzell) (2), Lynn Kinnear (Carnoustie) (13) and Alastair Mason (Thornton) (9). All returned net 72s.
