SCOTT HENRY DISAPPOINTS WITH A THREE-OVER 74 IN MADRID
Scotland's Scott Henry, who has been playing well on the Peugeot Tour and is lying well up its Order of Merit, had a disappointing first round in the Alps de Espana tournament which teed off today at Club de Campo, Villa de Madrid.
Henry had a three-over-par 74 which relegated him to a share of 70th place and in danger of missing the cut after two rounds.
England's Chris Paisley and Ireland's Brendan McCarroll were among a bunch on 71, sharing 26th place.
Appropriately enough on Bastille Day - France's National Day - it was a Frenchman Jacques Guillet who set the pace with a four-under-par 67 to lead by a shot from six players, including Jason Barnes (England) and Richard Kilpatrick (Northern Ireland).
