LAURIE PHILLIPS THROUGH TO LAST FOUR AT CRUDEN BAY

Leading qualifier Laurie Phillips of the host club is through to the semi-finals of the Steadfast Scotland Challenge Cup four-day men's open tournament at Cruden Bay Golf Club. He now plays Donald McAndrew (Royal Aberdeen) for a place in the final.
The other semi-final is between Donald's brother Nick and Chris Gilbert (McDonald Ellon).
