WIN OVER NORTH AT NEWMACHAR


North-east won a new men's inter-district amateur golf team tournament at Newmachar Golf Club today.
North-east, spearheaded by David Law with a brilliant round of 66, totalled 489 to North's 503.
It should have been a three-cornered contest but Angus were unable to field a team.
