Ian Hutcheon still the Monifeth Maestro

 - Angus county champion for seventh time

Ian Hutcheon, 68 year old Monifieth golfing legend, continued to defy his years (on Sunday) when he won the Angus men's county stroke-play championship for the seventh time over 36 holes at Monifieth Ashludie and Medal courses.
 Ian, who first won a county championship in 1965, had rounds of 65 and 69 for a total of 134, winning on the better second round from Ross Bell ( Downfield ), Stuart Smith ( (Downfield ) and Martin Brown ( Monifieth ) who all shot 63 and 71.
Grant Bowman, the current Angus junior champion, made it a double for the Monifieth club by winning the Angus youths championship with rounds of 66 and 72 to win by one stroke from Danny Lawrence ( Ballumbie Castle)
