Barrie Edmond wins Royal Aberdeen

Medal as leading qualifier

Barrie Edmond (BA) won the Royal Aberdeen medal in the 2010 Links Championships with a score of 137 ( 65,72).
He won it by a single stroke from clubmate Alan Shand (73,65) and Caledonian's Barry Reid (68,70).
Shand has some consolation though as his 65 was good enough to win the Neville Smith Cup on a countback and his net total of 132 (70,62) was enough to win the Class 1 Handicap trophy.

Edmond, pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency, will play Davie Leslie (N) in the first match out on Monday evening.
In the Murray Cup , leading qualifier Mike Flanagan (BA) will face clubmate Doug Barclay in the first match out on Tuesday evening.
Mike Taylor (C) will face fellow Caley player Chris Laing in the opener for the Handicap Championship on Thursday.
