Elliot Saltman has ground

to make up in Spain

FROM THE Hi5 PRO TOUR WEBSITE
Bjorn Pettersson, representing Sweden, played a near faultless round of 68 to take a slender one-shot lead into the second round of the Murcia-based Hi5 Pro Tour's Altorreal Open in Spain.
With a one-hour suspension of play due to fog, the field found scoring conditions difficult on the Dave Thomas-designed parkland course.
Tied in second place, one shot behind, are Sweden's Felix Fihn and local Spaniard Ignacio Sanchez Palencia.
A special mention must also go this week to Caroline Martins, representing Norway, who is competing against the men from the back tees. She had a round of 79.
SCOTSWATCH: Last week's winner, Elliot Saltman (pictured above) from Scotland, is in joint 16th place after a 74. Elliot had birdies at the long sixth and the 15th but bogeys at the third, short eighth, long 12th and 14th.He has a lot of ground to make up to repeat his success and make it three in a row for the Saltman family from the Lothians. Youngest of the three brothers, all supported by Aegon, Zack Saltman, is sharing 26th place on the 77 mark.
