Knox slips to joint 15th place finish on Hooters Tour
Russell Knox from Inverness earned $1,480 for a joint 15th place finish in this week's NGA Hooters Tour Winter Series event at Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club, Haines City, Florida.
The Florida-based Scot had eight birdies over opening rounds of 69 and 68 to be lying fourth after 36 holes but he could manage only one birdie, at the 13th, in a closing round of two-over-par 74 for a total of five-under 211.
Knox finished 10 shots behind the winner by four shots of the $12,368 first prize - Joe Affrunti from Illinois with scores of 68, 67 and 66 for 15-under-par 201.
