Fighting Scots hit back in singles to

force a draw with England Under-16s

Scotland staged a tremendous revival in the singles to make up a three-point deficit (1-4) from the morning foursomes to earn an honourable 7 1/2-7 1 /2 draw with England in today's Under-16 boys' international match at Arbroath links.
The Scots wiped out the English lunchtime lead by winning the first three singles, thanks to
Calum Stewart (3 and 2), Jack McDonald (4 and 3) and Grant Forrest (3 and 2).
Liam Johnston got a half for Scotland in the fourth singles and then the Scots were off on their winning ways again with successes for Eamon Bradley and Lawrence Allan.
Ewen ~Donald lost by 3 and 1 but Fraser Thain got the final point that meant the Scots could not be beaten when he won by one hole.
