Area team semi-finals and final now to be played on Sunday

The game gale-force winds that have forced the abandonment of Saturday play in the Alfred Dunhill Links championship have also hit the semi-finals of the Scottish men's area team championship finals at Crail Golfing Society's Craighead course in southern Fife.
Play was started in the foursomes between Lanarkshire and Dunbartonshire, and North-east versus Renfrewshire (North-east were leading in all three ties) but was suspended later in the morning.
Unlike the European Tour, extending the tournament to Monday is not an option where amateurs are concerned. Some of them actually work for a living!
LATER NEWS FROM CRAIL.
Play abandoned for the day. The semi-finals and the final will now be condensed into two sessions of play on Sunday, featuring one foursome and four singles in each match.
