The annual Grampian Houston Junior Fund pro-am at Royal Aberdeen raises money to finance the trip.
This year former US PGA champion Steve Elkington and former Open and Masters title winner Mark O'Meara will conduct coaching sessions for the 11 boys and one girl from the North and North-east.
US college golf team coaches will also be invited to run their eye over the youngsters as they play and practise in Texas with a view to offering them golf scholarships.
