McNicoll finishes jt 26th in South of

England Open at Walton Heath

Carnoustie's Keir Nicoll suffered the highs and lows of golf on the final of the South of England Amateur Open championship at Walton Heath on Thursday.
Keir, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, followed a pair of 73s for 146 - which made him the only Scot to survive the halfway cut - with a third-round 68 which hoisted him well up the field ... only for him to drop back down again to a final placing of joint 26th with a closing round of 78 for 292, six over the combined par for the Old Course (71) and the New Course (72)
We can now tell you the top 10 or so totals, the Walton Heath Golf Club computer, which "crashed" on Thursday before it could put out the final totals, coming back on line today.
