James White crashes out of

reckoning in second round

of Lytham Trophy



There were some disastrous second-round scores by Scots in the Lytham Trophy 72-hole tournament at the Lancashire links today.
Steven McEwan (Caprington), pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency, last year's SGU Order of Merit winner, had a 79 for 150.
Philip McLean (Peterhead) had an 81 for 154.
Scottish universities champion James White (Lundin), beaten in a play-off for the Edward Trophy at Glasgow Gailes last Sunday, slumped from a 73 to an 85 for 159.
US-based Scot Stephen Clark had a 79 for 160.
