Bankers win Aberdeen Trades Foursomes title
Bankers have won the Aberdeen Trades Foursomes title at Hazlehead for the third time this century!
The team of Gregor Stewart, Barry Gibson, Scott Carmichael and Martyn Paterson triumphed by five holes over Apora (Aberdeen Post Office Recreation Association), represented by Scott Spiers, Kevin Duthie, Ross McKen and Tony Robertson, in tonight's final.
Bankers also won the double foursomes match-play tournament in 2000 and 2001. Gregor Stewart is the only Banker to have played in all three winning teams of the 21st Century.
Details of the 2009 final:
BANKERS beat APORA by five holes.
G Stewart & B Gibson 0, S Spiers & K Duthie 2.
S Carmichael & M Paterson 7, T Robertson & R McKen 0.
