FOTHERINGHAM FINISHES JOINT
34th IN AUSTRALIAN CUP


Nairn's Fraser Fotheringham, beaten finalist in the British boys championship of 2007, finished joint 34th in the 114th Riversdale Cup, one of Australia's most prestigious amateur stroke-play golf tournaments, at Riversdale Golf Club, Victoria.
Fotheringham had rounds of 73, 71, 73 and 74 for a total of 291.
The leading Scot was Australia-based Stephen Speirs with 72, 69, 74 and 68 for a share of ninth place - 16 shots behind the winner, Australian Jordan Sherratt with scores of 63, 68, 68 and 68 and a 21 under par total of 267.
Defending champion and fellow-Australian Scott Arnold finished runner-up on 272 (68-70-66-68).
Ireland's Paul Buckley and Joe Lyons finished on 292 and 310 respectively.
