UNDER-16 SCOTS BOYS BEAT
NORTH OF ENGLAND
AT MONKTONHALL

Scotland, captained by Paul McPhee (King James VI), pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, beat North of England 10-5 in an Under-16 boys' representative golf match at Monktonhall Golf Club, Edinburgh on Sunday.
The Scots took the morning foursomes 3 1/2-1 1/2 and the singles by 6 1/2 to 3 1/2.
Rodger Clarke (Moray) had seven birdies in his 4 and 2 singles win for Scotland over Brad Hannah.
Clarke and another North of Scotland lad, Calum Stewart (Brora) won their foursomes and singles ties.

Paul McPhee & Scott Gibson halved with Andrew Scrimshaw & Lewis Fairbairn; Rodger Clarke & Ross Storrier bt Brad Hannah & Daniel Park 2 holes; Calum Stewart & Jordyn Rhind bt Thomas Rowland & James Morrison 3 and 2; Grant Forrest & Liam Johnston bt Oliver Carr & Chris Thursby 3 and 2; Robbie Gauld & Ewan Scott bt Steven King & James Simpson 1 hole (3 1/2-1 1/2).
Singles: McPhee bt Scrimshaw 4 and 3, Gibson lost to Fairbairn 5 and 4, Clarke bt Hannah 4 and 2, Rhind lost to Park 3 and 2; Storrier bt Rowland 5 and 4, Stewart bt Morrison 4 and 3, Johnson halved with Thursby, Gauld bt Carr 5 and 4, Forrest lost to King 1 hole, Scott bt Simpson 3 and 2 (6 1/2-3 1/2).
