Gale-force winds below over a television tower and some trees wind felled at Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Kentucky - venue for the Ryder Cup which tees off on Friday.
Kerry Haigh, managing director of championships and business development for the PGA of America, said the television tower came down at the 12th hole.
