Newlands Trophy at Lanark is Grand
Finale to SGU Order of Merit chase

The Scottish Golf Union Order of Merit ends this weekend with the last of the 72-hole open events for the top players - the Newlands Trophy at Lanark.
Most of the top men are there, including defending champion Callum Macaulay who equalled Bernard Gallacher's course record of 63 at Lanark last year.
Scott Borrowman (Dollar) and Kris Nicol (Fraserburgh), winners of the South-east District and North of Scotland Opens respectively over the past two weekends, are also in the field as are a host of big names from the Scottish amateur scene, including Wallace Booth, John Gallagher, Paul O'Hara, Greg Paterson, Shaun McAllister, Philip mcLean, Mark Bookless, Scott Mann, Zack Saltman, Fraser Fotheringham, James White, Mark Lamb and Craig Watson.
It promises to be a grand finale to the SGU Order of Merit season-long race and for some of the leading men it could be their last big amateur event before they enter the European Tour School Qualifying process, which begins at Dundonald Links next week.
The Lanark Golf Club organisers have promised to keep www.scottishgolfview up todate with scores at the end of each round which we will put up on your screens as soon as we get them, alongwith any other news supplied to use.
