Harrington retains Irish PGA title
Padraig Harrington prepared for his defence of The Open Championship title by winning the Irish PGA Championship for a second year running.
Harrington claimed his native title at The European Club by four strokes from Philip Walton despite shooting a one over par 72 in his final round on Saturday.
In his final round, Harringon dropped three shots over the las three holes - a bogey at the 16th and a double bogey 6 at the last. It was his third double bogey of the 72 holes.
