LAST-MAN LOCKHART SHARES SPOILS
WITH MATHESON AT AIRDRIE PRO-AM

Last man to finish Ladybank professional Alan Lockhart tied with Falkirk Tryst' s Craig Matheson for first place in Airdrie Golf Club's rain-hit £8,000 pro-am today.
Rain forced an afternoon suspension of play for about 90min but morning starter Matheson escaped the worst of it to post a four-under-par 65 which looked for most of the day as if it would earn him his first outright pro-am win on the Tartan Tour.
Then, around 8.30pm, Lockhart birdied the 15th and parred the last three to match that 65 and share the spoils. They each earned £1,054 for finishing a shot ahead of Craig Ronald (Carluke) and David Orr (East Renfrewshire).
Ian Graham (Crow Wood), who finished joint ninth on 68, led the Airdrie Savings Bank amateur trio of Jim Lindsay (handicap 11), David Blair (9) and Charles Munn (17) to victory in the team event with a net score of 14-under-par 55.
There were two holes in one during the day. Stirling professional Greg Rankin aced the fourth and amateur Sam Harris did likewise at the eighth.
