Banchory's Adam Lindsay honoured with Midwest
Collegiate Conference team nomination

PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY IOWA WESLEYAN COLLEGE
DES MOINES – Iowa Wesleyan College was well represented on the Midwest Collegiate Conference all-conference men’s golf team, which was released today by conference sports information director Molly Brown.
IWC placed a pair of golfers on the conference’s first team, as both Jordan Crampton (Sr.-London, Ontario) and Adam Lindsay (Jr.-Aberdeenshire, Scotland) received all-conference honors. In addition, Tiger Head Coach Ted Peetz was named the conference men’s golf Coach of the Year.
Crampton and Lindsay both tied for the IWC team lead this season with five top-10 finishes each. Lindsay led the team in the fall and for the season was the Tigers’ lowest scorer with an average of 74.8 strokes over 23 rounds. Crampton finished with an average score of 76.3 over 23 rounds.
The two also both finished high in the MCC championship tourney last month, with Lindsay placing second and Crampton tying for third. In addition to the conference award, Crampton was also honored on Thursday as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete in men’s golf.
“Adam and Jordan are very deserving of this honor,” Peetz said. “They’ve been great leaders and players for our team for a number of years. They embody what it means to be an all-conference player.”
Peetz received the honor as Coach of the Year after the Tigers capped a strong spring by finishing second at the conference meet. IWC placed no lower than third in any of its five spring meets and finished in the top four in 12 of 13 meets for the year.
The Tigers also received votes in several national polls over the season. The three votes the team received in two separate polls, including the most recent Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA poll, were the most received in the program’s history.
“This honor is a reflection of my players,” Peetz said. “This year’s group of guys was the best I’ve coached and made my job easy. I appreciate this honor and am humbled by it.”
