A GRAND PERFORMANCE BY ARNOTT AND McCREADIE

Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs) and Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle) earned £1,030 apiece after both finished on six-under-par 64 in today's (Sat) £8,000 Portpatrick Golf Club charity pro-am.
They had a shot to spare at the finish from Philip Walton (unattached) and Northern Open champion Chris Doak (unattached).
A countback in the team event went down through the inward half and to the fourth hole on the outward journey before the McMillan Hotels' team led by pro Ed Thomson (Largs) were adjudged to have pipped Andrew McMillan's Team led by pro Mark King (Kingsfield).
They had tied on 16-under-par 54.
The winning trio of amateurs with handicaps were Gordon Reid (18), John Munro (14) and Jim Stirling (14).
The runners-up were Tommy McClymont (7), Hammy McMillan (8) and Ian Fisher (13).
