McKnight (70) leading Scot in
Welsh open stroke-play

Robert McKnight (Caprington) was the best placed Scot at the end of the first round of the Welsh men's open amateur stroke-play championship at Conwy Golf Club. He had a two-under-par round of 70 - three behind Sam Hutsby (Liphook) who equalled the course record with a 67.
