St Andrews Links clubhouse, the public facility which services the Old Course and the New and Jubilee courses, is set for a New Year refurbishment.
The clubhouse opened in June 1995 and has become a popular facility, used by many of the golfers playing the three championship courses, as well as by the public.
It houses a number of important facilities and services, including the restaurants, the locker rooms and the shop. There is also a busy reception and information desk and staff offices.
The refurbishment will see the facilities for golfers and visitors improved and a new reception area and shop facility created on the entry level.
Work on the clubhouse started on January 5 and is scheduled to continue for approximately seven weeks.
Whiled work on the clubhouse is being carried out , all the facilities except the golf shop will be available as usual. Entry to the lower floor is via the doorway on that level only.
A full range of officially endorsed St Andrews Links and Old Course merchandise is available from the shop behind the 18th green and from the Old Course Shop.
