SENIOR NORTHERN COUNTIES CUP PUT BACK
A WEEK TO AVOID CLASH WITH ELGIN EVENT

NORTH NEWS FROM ROBIN WILSON
After being contacted by several of the North's leading senior golfers and also Elgin senior team players, Eddie Sherwood, secretary of the Northern Counties Cup Golf Association, has been able to liase with Duff House Royal Golf Club, the venue for this year's Senior Northern Counties Cup competition, for a change of date.
This will avoid a clash with the Scottish senior open amateur stroke play championship due to be played over Elgin's Hardhillock course in the week including May 20-22.
The Senior Northern Counties Cup was due to start at Duff House Royal on Wednesday May 21 but has been put back a week and will now commence at Duff House on Wednesday May 28 and finish on Friday May 30.
Scottish Senior team captain Ian Hutcheon (Monifieth) is the defending senior stroke play champion at Elgin and the Elgin Seniors will defend the Northern Counties Cup at Duff House.
