TWO SCOTS IN TOP 15 AT HOOTERS
TOUR EVENT IN FLORIDA

Former Scotland youth cap Russell Knox from Inverness finished joint seventh and Glasgow’s Scott Jamieson was 15th in the latest NGA Hooters’ Winter Series tournament in Florida.
Knox, pictured right, scored 72, 67 and 71 for a six-under-par total of 210 over a 7,227yd, par-72 course at Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club. He had one eagle and 12 birdies over the three rounds.
Jamieson recovered from a shaky start of 77 to get into the money list with subsequent scores of 67 and 68 for four-under 212.
Knox earned $2,268 and Jamieson $1,768 behind the winner of the $12,000 jackpot prize, Jeff Corr (Florida) winning for the third time in five weeks with 67, 70 and 69 for 10-under-par 206.
Knox is sixth in the Hooters Tour Winter Series money list with $11,239 from five events, including three top-0 finishes. Jamieson is 11th with $8,939.
Knox and Jamieson both played on the American college circuit for four years, Jamieson as a student at Augusta State University, Knox at Jacksonville University, Florida.
Knox graduated last May and stayed on in Jacksonville and turned professional.
