SWEDISH TEENAGER THROUGH TO FINAL
OF POLO CLASSIC IN FLORIDA

Sweden's Bjorn Akesson, beaten in last year's British boys' open championship final at Royal Aberdeen, has become the first non-American player in the past five years to reach the boys' final of the Polo Junior Classic at Ginn Reunion Resort, Florida.
The tournament is one of the most prestigious junior events in the United States.
Akesson, who is bound for Arizona State University - where Banchory's James Byrne is a freshman student, will play American Sean Dale in the final.
The girls' finalists are not known yet as the favourite, Vicky Hurst, and Stephanie Kono were all square after 22 holes when darkness forced a suspension of play in their semi-final on Thursday. Hurst had been two down after 14 but won the 15th and 16th.
Kimberley Kim is through to the final, having beaten one of former tennis ace Ivan Lendl's daughters, Marika, in the other semi-final.
