SCOTS and ENGLAND ONLY ONE BEHIND
UNITED STATES AT HALFWAY STAGE

Scotland and England used their familiarity with the foursomes format to take closer order on leaders United States on the second day of the Omega Mission Hills World Cup tournament in China today.
The American pairing of Boo Weekley and Heath Slocum slipped from an opening better-ball 61 to a foursomes score of 69 to maintain their lead on 130.
But Scotland's Colin Montgomerie and Marc Warren as well as England's Justin Rose and Ian Poulter both returned 68s in the alternate shot format to be on the 131 mark at halfway - only one shot off the pace as they share second place ahead of South Africa (132) and three teams on 133, defending champions Germany, Denmark and Italy.
