MURRAY URQUHART ENTERS SOUTH
AFRICAN QUALIFYING SCHOOL
Northern Open champion Murray Urquhart from Inverness has entered the South African Tour Qualifying School at Johannesburg Country Club from December 18 to 21.
"If I am successful, it will open up a new door for me and the plan would be to play solidly in Africa for the first two months of the year," said Urquhart who is 34 and has been a professional for 10 years.
"I have played the Johannesburg course many times before so I'm not going in blind."
In 2007 Urquhart campaigned on the Challenge Tour and the Tartan Tour.
Euan Little from Portpatrick already has a players' card for the South African Tour.
