ALYTH NAMED 18TH HOLE
AFTER KEVIN McALPINE
WHEN HE WON FIRST
SCOTTISH TITLE

Yesterday we showed you Glenn Campbell's own parking place at Blairgowrie Golf Club in recognition of his victory in the Scottish amateur championship of 2005 at Southerness.
Alyth Golf Club, in many ways, have topped that appreciative gesture to a Scottish champion on its membership roll by not only making Kevin McAlpine - winner of the title at Nairn two years ago - an honorary member but also renaming the 18th hole after him.
The hole was previously named "The Clubhouse."
Kevin, of course, this year added another national title to his CV when he captured the Scottish stroke-play at Royal Dornoch.
Does that mean he should have another hole at Alyth named Kevin McAlpine II? Only joking.
