SORRY, KEIR! INJURED ON OPENING
DAY AND DID NOT PLAY AGAINST
EITHER WALES OR ENGLAND

Scottishgolfview.com owes an apology to Carnoustie's Keir McNicoll for crediting him with two defeats in the second-day match against Wales in the home internationals at Co Louth earlier this week.
The fact is that Keir DID NOT PLAY either against Wales or against England on the final day because of a injury received in the first-day singles match against Ireland.
Scottishgolfview.com accepted the results displayed by the Irish Golf Union but as Keir points out in the following E-mail, they got it wrong!
Sorry, Keir.

E-MAIL FROM KEIR McNICOLL

Just a little email to defend myself and my home internationals' record earlier this week!
I only played two matches, both against Ireland on the first day because I damaged my hand/wrist on the final hole of the singles, and couldn't play any more matches.

The (Irish Golf Union) website said I played against Wales on Thursday but that's because George (Crawford) had to put a (Scotland) team in on Wednesday evening and he was hoping I would be fit for the morning but unfortunately I wasn't. I had to be replaced by Kevin (McAlpine) in the foursomes and John (Gallagher) in the singles against Wales.
