ANGLO IAN IS TOP SCOT IN PGA
ASSISTANTS CHAMPIONSHIP


Anglo-Scot Ian Campbell (Brighton & Hove) finished 12th in the Powerade PGA assistants golf championship at London Golf Club, Kent today (Friday).
He had rounds of 74, 71 and 76 for a five-over-par total of 221, which earned him £650.
Lee Harper (Archerfield Links) picked up £358 for a share of 20th place on 226 with scores of 74, 75 and 77.
Steven Duncan (unattached) scored 79, 76 and 72 for a share of 22nd place on 227. He received £316.
Chris McCalman (unatted) finished 29th on 229 with 81, 73 and 75. His cheque was for £265.
New Scottish professional champion Mark Loftus scored 80, 74 and 76 for 230 and a share of 30th place for £255.
Alyth’s Michael Rae earned £237 for joint 33rd position on 231 with scores of 75, 78 and 78.
Jonathan Lupton from Middlesbrough won the title and the £5,000 first prize with 73, 72 and 68 for three-under-par 213.
He won by one stroke from Ireland’s Barrie Trainor from Bray and Englishman Paul Hendriksen (Fingle Glen).
