SENIORS VICTORY IN TURKEY
By STEVEN FRANKLIN

Four Scots will go into Sunday's final round with a strong chance of winning the Gloria Classic in Turkey, the second event on the 2007 European Seniors Tour Schedule.
Sam Torrance and Ross Drummond spearhead the Tartan challenge at Gloria Golf Resort, Belek, two strokes behind joint leaders Martin Poxon of England and Doug Johnson of the United States.
Poxon and Johnson both carded six under par 66s during today's second round and top the leaderboard with an eight-under-par totals of 136.
A stroke further back are former Senior Open champion Pete Oakley of the United States, also round in 66, Delroy Cambridge of Jamaica (70) and Australian Stewart Ginn (70), followed on six under par by a strong group that includes Torrance and Drummond.
Torrance birdied two of the closing three holes for a second consecutive 69 while Drummond, playing in only his second European Seniors Tour event, reeled off a six-birdie 67.
Bill Longmuir is the next best placed Scot after rounds of 71 and 68 left him on five under par, two better than Bill McColl (72-69).
However, Aberdonian John Chillas, tied sixth after a first round 69, dropped out of contention with a 74, as did Ladybank's Martin Gray.
Drummond, whose most successful season on The European Tour was chronicled in the best-selling golf book 'Four Iron in the Soul', said: "It's early days for me on the Seniors Tour but I am happy with my game so far. The standard is very good out here. I played very solidly on Friday but was lying 22nd, so there were a lot of scores under par.
"Fortunately today I managed to make some birdies and that has got me up in contention. Par or one under doesn't get the job done out here, so I know I will have to go low tomorrow."
