IT'S A ROUND OF DOUBLES FOR LEE
RHIND ON TEXAS TIGHT LIES TOUR

There was a pattern to Lee Rhind's opening round in the Kingwood Classic at Clubs of Kingwood Golf Club today when the Tight Lies Tour Winter Series competition got under way.
It was a pattern the Scot, pictured right, did not particularly care for.
The man from Uphall had birdies had two long holes - the third and the 12th. He also had two double bogeys - 6s at the par-4 first and 13th. The rest of his scorecard was made up of pars.
A two-over-par 74 put Lee, a winner on the Tight Lies Tour earlier this year and the PGA EuroPro Tour last year - and a Scottish boys' open stroke-play champion a decade ago - on the joint 18th mark in a smallish field of 56, three of whom withdrew after the first round.
The standard of play on these satellite tours can be quite frightening, considering it costs between $600 and $700 to enter, depending on whether you are a member or just passing through.
To get your entry money back - and some, you usually have to score well under par.
Americans Ryan Baca and Mike Kullberg set the clubhouse target of four-under-par 68.
